    fhr question?

Hi, I was just wondering what it meant in some build guides that say 85% fhr breakpoint, I looked at the fhr chart and don't understand it at all, can anyone help me understand what this means, thanks.

    Re: fhr question?

When you are hit hard enough(was it 1/5 of your hit points?) your character goes through a hit recovery animation, during which you cant do anything. The animation lasts a variably amount of time depending on your character and items. With more FHR items you can decrease the time it takes for your character to finish the animation.

For example, sorceress without any items has 15 frames hit recovery animation. You need 86% FHR from items to reach the 7 frames "breakpoint". With 86% or more FHR your hit recovery animation only lasts for 7 frames, so you can get back to the fight faster.

EDIT. Here is a breakpoints table. FHR is third one down.

    Re: fhr question?

    If a charm gives 5% FHR, you need 17 such charms. 17 * 5 = 85

    Re: fhr question?

Should be worth noting here, that there are 25 frames every second. Thus a Sorceror with no fhr will recover from a hit recovery animation in 15/25 = 0.6 secs (which is a looong time during a battle, and can cause your death).

    Re: fhr question?

    Listen, it's not 85, it's 86. 86, not 85.

FHR gear depends on your character. The common caster shield Spirit has a whopping 55 FHR. Then there are Sandstorm Trek boots, 20 FHR. You can also put a Shael rune in Helm or Armor for additional 20 FHR.

Small charms can get 5 FHR, Grand charms get 12 FHR, Large charms - I don't remember, 7 maybe?

Bloodfist gloves give 30 FHR as well, they are popular dueling gloves.

Verdungo's Hearty Cord gives 10 FHR.

Hell, there are sources of FHR everywhere! Just don't fixate on FHR - if you have to sacrifice too much to get 86 FHR, better stick to 48.

    Re: fhr question?

Nitpicking: He said "break the 85% breakpoint" which means having more than that, i.e. 86% :p

    Re: fhr question?

Well, I could argue that he said "reach the 85 FHR breakpoint", but I won't do that, as it would be OT.

... Or, wait, did I just do it?

Don't worry, this is just the usual nitpicking contest. We are teasing each other for the fun of it ;)
