fc viability

I am going to start a LAN game with my friend. I am playing as a MA assassin, and he will probably be a FC bear. Will the bear be able to keep up with the sin in terms of killing speed, or will he be reduced to a shockwave machine? IIRC, a standard DT/TS assassin can do ~30k damage. Would he be able to keep up better as a windy (without Enigma)?

I'd say if you're going untwinked as a party of two, an fc druid is more than viable. Having fireclaws will be great for dealing with physical immunes. You can load up any weapon with shaels and pretty much be set.

In terms of killing speed, towards the later end of nm and into hell he'll probably surpass you in killing speed (barring fi's). In nightmare the druid'll cut through most everything (as this is were fc will start becoming really strong from synergies relative to most monsters). Load up on some cb from something simple like Guillaume's Face or Goblin Toes and the fc druid will become a boss dropping asset. Keep in mind in hell monster's huge pool of hit points and innate physical resistance will make that 30k damage on the chargeups seem a little more down to earth, this is where delivering cb at a high rate shines.

As you can probably guess, shockwave will be indispensible for crowd control. This combined with cloak of shadows, mindblast and a shadow master it should be a walk in the park. Heart of the wolverine would also be a nice addition for both providing ar and a little extra damage for your 'sin.

In short I'd think you'd be set tagging along with an fc druid.
