FBR on tower

I was wonder if 50 % FBR in a tower shield would hit the faster block break point..i shopped a prismatic of deflecting sheal//pdia for hell mephs hoping it would block faster for dolls when i teled into them... or should i use a mosers sheal pdia im on hardcore so im trying to be safe as possible please let me know thanks

Yes, it will hit the 5 frame block with 50% faster block rate. The breakpoint is 48%. If you have 75% block and get hit by melee a lot I would go with faster block rate. If you have less than 50% block and get hit by melee and casters a lot I would go with faster hit recovery. If you need resists, and get hit by casters a lot get resists.

Thanks I have currently 70% block need raven i currently have 1,019 life on my 82 sorcress on hardcore and 75/54/54/75 resists i need hell anya and anni charm and then i'll be ok ;D thanks for the info

Of course it will.
When trapped in a group of monsters and high block you'll be blocking a lot, but this doesn't mean you'll get out alive in the end. You'll also need FCR to be able to cast your teleport spell before the next monster hits. But the faster you end with your blocking the faster you can start casting, so yes it will help but it might not always be enough. For example if you happen to tele in a group of fana aura enchanted stygians dolls ^^

I was just looking at the paladin faq and the numbers are a bit different to what you guys are saying there's a 48% breakpoint for fast hit recovery but the fbr looks like this:

Regarding Fast Block Rate:

Without Holy Shield:

0% fbr - 5 frames
13% fbr - 4 frames
32% fbr - 3 frames
86% fbr - 2 frames
600% fbr - 1 frame

So, is the paladin faq still correct or have the values changed? Or are they different for sorcs?
