Fanaticism & Might - play well together?

    If I am running a pally with fanaticism and I use a might merc, how does it affect the damage output?

    Might is definitely the right complementary aura for a Fanatic Paladin. I definitely notice the difference between my merc before and after he has activated his aura. Can't give you facts and figures, only to say that almost everyone uses a might merc with Reapers with any physical build and the fanaticism really helps the merc too.

    Both Fanaticism and Might are sources of off-weapon ED, so add those together with other off-weapon ED.

    IIRC fanat gives only a partial bonus to the person not wielding the aura themselves...

    so the answer is:
    Your merc will benefit a lot more than you, especially since you have other dmg boosts from skills and stuff.

    That said, it still helps. If you have horrific hit chance (75% or lower?) blessed aim might be better.

    Thanks guys, that's good to know.

    That's the rub really, do I play safe and go for BA or can I find enough AR to justify Might?

    Depends on how much BA bumps your hit rate. Do a little math and see how much might increases your damage percentage-wise and see if it's more than how much your hit-chance increases from BA.

    If you Fanazealer uses the typical melee weapon, namely Grief, it has -25% TD, so in that case CTH shouldn't be too much of a problem vs most targets, no?
