Faith vs Wrath: Pros & Cons of both?

Ok, for a glass cannon strafer, can you use WRATH & come close to the killing power of a FAITH zon?

What build would benefit most from a WRATH bow? I am just curious. I always see FAITH zons running around, I have never seen a WRATH zon.

The main pros of Faith:
Fanatism Aura
ITD
AR

The main pros of Wrath:
30% Decrepify On Striking
20% Crushing Blow
Cannot Be Frozen
The various damage(demons, undead, magic and lightning)

Cons:
The are made of dupies, but Wrath is more achiveable when using legit runes.

but it has decript. And huge offweapon ed.

It's like every thing in live, you can't have it all eventhough you'd want too.

Have you already found wmerediths topic?

[edit]

a quick calculation:
decript gives you about 2x more damage in the end.
This means that without min/max damage somewhere, you'd need 100% ed assuming that the offweapon ed remains the same (lets say there isn't any, and no critical just to make calculation easier.).

Lets give someone 40 3/20 in the inventory, using a mat bow assuming offweapon ed stay the same.

wrath:
average damage (pré decript) = 33.5+60 = 93.5.
Decript gives: 187.

equivalent bow.
average damage = 93.5.
we put in onweapon ed:
33.5 * ed + 60 = 187
=> ed = 3.79.

you will need 379 onweapon ed to get the same damage as wrath. Doesn't seem that bad now does it.

Note that the equivalent bow may have more offweapon ed and a source of amp. Where wrath will have the advantage by having a higher number of max damage (razortail, war trave...)

P.S. I just hope I didn't miscalculate.

[edit]
Stupid, me. It's only 279 onweapon ed. Still nice, though not like faith. So you see, decript can have the equivalent of 279 onweapon ed.

Your calculation is very flawed. You are assuming that the faith user does not have a load of +3 max charms. Your calculation shows that it's equivalent to 279 ED only if the ED user does not have the equivalent charms.

Besides, why +3/20? Get some +14 max GC's (I think those are the best one can obtain?).

they are both using the exact same number of offweapon extra average damage. 60 in this case.

the numbers are just an example. And for no reason chosen, it's just an example to show the 'power' of decript from wrath.
