    Faith Vs. Beast for Summoner

Hey guys, im trying to build a pure summoner, and am going to use hoto + spirit on switch for prebuff and either beast + Stormshield/Spirit or Faith for my melee switch when not summoning. Using the pet calculator, i figured that the +6 lvls to fanat dont make much of a difference in my summons damage, but i want to know what you guys think will benefit me more.

    The melee or the ranger.

I think Doom/spirit is the best combo personally, with cta on switch. But I'd rather go Beast/spirit if I had a chance, because at least u get some block, resists, mana, and 35% fcr for teleporting is much needed. I think the lvl 12 holy freeze on doom works wonders for your summons though, pvm or pvp : /

yesss... but like I said I'd go Doom axe/Spirit, that's +4 skillz there for quick resummoning and lvl 12 holy freeze. I'm assuming he'd be going werebear & shockwave then... or else I have no idea what he'd be doing lol

Dennis I think you'd be more helpful if you gave a relevent comment...

My appologies to Jary and all druid regulars for my ignorance. :wink2:

ZZ I was like why use Doom for your summons? Druid summoners are new to me. Can't leave any comment. Sorry bogie.

Beast/Spirit is still better imo despite Dennis' mistake. I think summoners need all the damage they can get and a Fanaticism aura and skills from Spirit is a great balance over purely gaining skills (say HOTO/Spirit) and pure Fanat (Faith).

Hmmm well, im going on a leap here, but i think that prebuffing works for druid summons as well as necros, so my guys would have the same dmg really, (using hoto + spirit on switch) just a difference in how MY character deals it. Hmmm Doom + Spirit... Id lose the Fanat Aura, but the added def might be worth it... my dire wolves will already be doing 6.5k with auras, minues the fanat and its around 5.8k or something, so its still a lot for a single minion.

Trutru, either way... I mean, fanaticism actually prolly helps with speed if anything more than damage, it only gives summons like half the damage bonus remember, so its miniscule. On the other hand if you use Doom, u can always get a A2 offensive/Concent merc too so it sorta evens out I guess : /

Lol. I may not know much about Druid summoners, but I know Vigor can't compete with Might + Conc.

Yeah, using the 3 damage auras (either from faith or beast) and prebuffing is the way to get your grizzly to 18k+ dmg.
