Faith in a crossbow?

So,

it seems like everyone is making faiths into gmb's/mb's these days, but I've found no (recent) forum thread related to making faith's in crossbows. I've seen some players using faith's in a gorgon crossbow and they seemed to be doing pretty well. Can anyone explain what is the best x-bow to make a faith in and what gear is needed to reach good speed. I'd appreciate any help on the topic!

I'm not to keen on crossbows...sure they have higher damage than bows but they are much slower...There is some sort of max speed cap for crossbows that they can't exceed. So no matter how much IAS you pile on you'll still be substantially slower than bows, so I can't really see the advantage. Sorry but I don't know the breakpoints for crossbows

Good gear to get IAS

Stealskull 15% IAS
Gloves 20% IAS many uniques/set and rare gloves, just take your pick.
Goldwrap/Nosferatus Coil 10% IAS
Shael runes socketed in bow 20% IAS
Fervor jewels 15% IAS and can be socketed in armors and helms, very useful.
Crow Caw/Twitchthroe 15%/20% IAS
Highlords/Cat's Eye 20% IAS
Mavina's Diadem 30% IAS... I think.

Check this for info on IAS breakpoints for Bows and Crossbows. There are other easy to find threads regarding the boost provided by the Fanaticism aura.

The only crossbow probably to be considered would be the Gorgon Crossbow since it only needs 117 Str whereas the Colossus Crossbow needs 163 Str and the Demon Crossbow needs 141 Str.

There's only 10% ias on stealskull. Another good helm would be Andarial's Visage (20% ias).

mav's helm has 30 ias. type "weapon speed calculator" in google and probably the first site that pops up is a calc for weapon speed

I have to thank to everyone for their help. Using the x-bow speed table provided, I've calculated the following (correct me if I am wrong):

Faith Gorgon crossbow would need the following ias to get a speed of 11(/3):

lvl 12 = 51%
lvl 13 = 49%
lvl 14 = 47%
lvl 15 = 47%

It seems then, that 12 aura would be an odd man out in a crossbow as well, requiring an extra piece of ias eq to reach max speed. Otherwise I'd go with LoH+IAS belt+Highlord's for 50% ias. Makes me wonder if I should try my luck making it myself... hm... hm...

Anyway, I'd still appreciate any info regarding the issue, particularly first-hand experience with faith x-bows (in PvM ofc).
