Facets

I found my first rainbow facet tonight (3/5 light facet) and was pondering....Mr.Pokey (my merc) tends to die a lot...like A LOT...so if I added a facet to his Bonehew, then at least his death might serve some purpose for me.The problem I'm debating is, what happens if Mr.Pokey casts his whatever it is--I was thinking a cold facet would be nice here-- around a pack of oh lets say Stygian Dolls...how screwed would I be? And have any of you ever done this with your mercs? If so, what were your experiences?

congrats on the facet.

yes it will work on your merc. but if it does kill the dolls, it depends, if you are standing near them all, you might be screwed. what character would this be on?

I think it'd be a waste (dunno if anyone wants 3/-5 facet even though -res is more important). Socket the bonehew with 2x amn and find him nice gear with other sources of leech as well (gaze), so he won't die :).

this would be my Hammerdin. Both Pally and Merc are level 90 with Pally at about 2100 ish life, but only around 6-7k Defense, so I don't take hits very well-although when I see my life bulb drop to that uncomfortable point, I usually still have around 800 life. A little too low for my tastes. And thanks, I was pretty excited to see my first unique jewel :D

I just covered this earlier, but I'm not having any luck trading lately, so I figured might as well put the one useful thing I've come across to work. My merc does ok, until I head into the WSK and I understand, there isn't a great deal I can do to protect him from IM and the like, but shelling out 50K everytime Mr.Pokey starts feeling his oats is getting to be a bit tiresome. I haven't found a gaze thus far, but his upped eth wormskull is getting him by at this point :D

Facets can go big, sometimes in trading you need to be patinet, sit on it a few weeks.

Right now people are missing thier Enigmas soooooooooo bad all they was its runes to upp to try and get there. It is so funny watching the weak work so hard because they just GOT to have that item that they prove day in and day out they dont really need!!!

back in the last season on Nl sc.. my friend made a "merc bomb" he put like 2 of each class of die facets and let him explode... funniest thing on earth

yeah i totally agree with you on this. if i had a choice between an enigma and a vipermagi i would go with the viper. and imho being able to teleport isn't all that big of a deal and it isn't worth the cost.

When it comes down to keeping the Gul to cube up to Vex and try to get higher runes for an Enigma I'd rather trade it for that Tal's armor and be happy. Enigma really isn't that great this early, unless you can afford to compliment it with other overpriced gear.

I think teleport is great and I get it from my handy 'stick o' teleport' purchased conveniently from the guy in a2 hell, but I agree, I'd rather stick with my skullders than go on endless countess runs all day.
