F/R Druid Problems

Hey, I just got a couple of q's about my fury/rabies.

At time of post, he is level 80.

Stats (with gear):
Str: 193
Dex: 190
Vit:240
Nrg: Base at 20

Damage: Rabies 445-702(11k-12k psn), Fury 534-986
Attack Rating: Rabies 10641, Fury 9846

Defense: 2409, Max Block, Max PDR
Life: 2816

Resists: F/C/L/P -71/47/7/7

Max Werewolf, Lycanthropy, Oak, Rabies, Fury will be maxed (only level 10)

Grief zerk (makes up for low AR)
Close to perf cerebus (only thing not is feral rage ^^) going to be socket
with um

Max DR dungos
Boots (undecided)
Trangs Gloves
Highlords (thinkin about mara's)
max dex raven, carrion wind (9%)
No shapeshift charms (yet!)

Have a couple of problems. My damage is a little low, but that will be helped when i get skill charms. I'm gonna have cta/spirit on switch, so no switch to psn gear. My defense is low, but from what i hear thats inherent in wolf builds. My biggest problem is resists. If i get um for cerebus and switch out for maras it will help some, but my fire resist is hurting bad. Suggestions ne1?

my druid has almost all his res at negative, but with feral rage on(at least lvl 5) you have so massive life leech that resist almost arent needed(this would be for pvm of course) in pvp just get a 4 socketed pruby monarch when you meet fire sorcs etc?

I was much in the same boat as you with my Fury/Rabies druid.

My setup:

Jalal's -> Um'd
Duress runeword Archon Plate
+2 Dru rare ammy w/ 18fr/lr/pr 28cr and 35life
20dex Raven
8% Carrion Wind
IK Gloves/Belt
Aldurs boots (mucho FR)
Spirit Runeword Monarch
Oath runeword Eth Cryptic Sword

My advice:

Two things...
1. Ditch the Cerebus and go with a Jalal's and Um that
2. Look at the Aldurs boots.. mine has 48fr, i believe 50 is perfect

Assuming you get a pair of perfect Aldurs boots that's a 95 point swing in your fire resists right there.

I had "better" equipment for my druid but i found my resists POORLY lacking in hell when using the "better" stuff. I play HC so resists in hell are a priority (for me atleast) and I only do PvM so I don't have viable input if your gearing for PvP.

From a resists standpoint the biggest differences between us is I get 45res all from my Jalals, 48FR from Aldurs, and 28fr/31LR from IK belt. Thats a 121% difference between your FR and mine which would put you at 50%FR on the plus side in hell (not counting your Mara's which would likely put you at the max).

Definitely not saying my setup is optimal by any stretch... but it works for me and I was able to solo my way to Guardian (as of last night).

replace the grief zerk with a grief phase blade. zerk is too slow - the damage displayed on yr character screen doesnt reflect the +400 dmg either, so you are more likely doing 7k damage or so.
