Explosive and piercing arrows?

I have a question about using explosive arrows with piercing (ie. razortail belt). What exactly happens in this case? will it explode on every target it hits?
Also will additional elemental damage only affect the target (what the arrows hits) or will it spread to everything the explosion hits?

You will have explosions for every monster that is target. If you pierce 3 time and target - no cth pass needed - you will have 4 explosions. 3 for the pierced targets and 1 for the last target.
In the current patch anyway. I'm assuming you are playing 1.09 or 1.08?


There is only one thing that transfers to the explosion, and that's fire damage. Cold damage, lightning, poison, physical etc. don't transfer.
This offers some very interesting possibilities. Enchant gets transferred, fire damage from holy fire gets transferred. And even fire damage from charms get transferred.
