Exactly what does block, block?

I tried researching the subject and I couldn't find a clear answer. What does block actually block except physical attacks? (If any?)

And why on earth couldn't I find this anywhere, my researching skills must be quite bad.

It seems to block a few elemental projectiles, like Mephisto's cold ball, and maybe some lightning effects. That's all I know.

I think I once read somewhere that Nihla's CE was blockable.

I think mephisto's cold ball is the only element spell that can be blocked . I can't seem to remember any others

I'm pretty sure it blocks more than that

I read somewhere on these forums that the undead stygian doll explosion can be blocked, no clue if it has been verified.

Dolls can be blocked. Another thing of note is those red balls of fury from the Witch thingies.

So I found out that the missiles from succubus also can be blocked. Come on, there must be more. Lets make a list perhaps?

I read somewhere on these forums that the undead stygian doll explosion can be blocked, no clue if it has been verified.

Doll explosion deals 50% physical and 50% fire damage. Only the physical half is blockable.

Nihil's CE is not blockable in my observation. I've been running him recently without a nature's peace with a max blocking hdin and holy crap the damage he deals...

Doll explosions are 100% physical damage.

I doubt that cause they decimate my 75% block paladin.

Well, IF he doesn't block them, he probably ends up in tiny bits.

You/someone/I should run tests to see if he can block them.
