EVERYONE READ!!! NEW TOWN KILL!!! (for me at least)

(please forgive me if this if old news... I remember reading something about rogue mercs killing people in town, but i didn't understand how it worked. Apparently the game I was in never heard of this bug either.)

10 minutes ago I joined a dueling game with my level 16 druid. Shortly after I joined a level 76 Paladin joins and hostiles the entire game of low levels. He then runs outside into blood moor and then his Rogue merc starts shooting fire arrows, and regular arrows at me and the rest of players that were near the town entrance. We all died. After this happend he explained to us that his necromancer friend would cast his clay golem in front of one of us and the rogue merc would shoot the clay golem, but his friend would unsummon the clay golem before the arrow would hit it, so the player behind his clay golem would be damaged/killed even though he/she was in town.

Here's a picture of me, and this sorc dead inside of town because of the bug.
Notice all of the dead clay golems everywhere.

The level 76 Paladin had a friend in the game helping him... see the Necromancer would stay in town, and cast clay golems in front of people that were in town, and the Paladin's rogue mercenary would shoot at the Clay Golem, but before the arrow struck the clay golem, the Necromancer would re-summon it to another location, or unsummon it, so the arrow that was meant for the Clay Golem would instead hit the player that was behind it.

It stands to reason a rogue merc with a piercing bow (i.e. Kuko) could also accomplish this? Let's hope Blizzard patches this one up quick.

I seem to recall reading this very same thing a few weeks ago involving a hostile player with a rogue merc and another necro summoning/unsummoning to lure the shots into town at players standing near the entrance. Don't recall it ever making the front news (like the Shadow Master townkill), so I figured it wasn't true or was too tricky for most people to even try to pull off.

Well, Blizzorama hasn't fixed it in the last month or so; that was when it was first mentioned in the HC Forum. But it's easy enough to avoid, just don't go near the entrance to the Rogue Camp and you should be fine. You know, line of sight and all that stuff.

act one usually has that barracade in front of the gate way to prevent this from happening all the time. Unless you were trying to take on a lvl 70-ish char with your low level guy you shouldn't be behind the barracade like that to begin with. I find this whole thing quite funny actually.

The thought has hit me too, what were you doing within a screen from a hostile char five times your level? I'd leave the game the first thing.

Would you expect town-killing if you didn't read anything about it?

Just when you thought the invisible barrier o' doom can save you

Is this a particular rogue merc issue or can any bow yielding character do the same thing?
