Europe Hardcore Ladder Group
Hi diablo II hardcore players,
I have a fun idea to create some quality gaming time, it is intended for players who don’t have much time on their hands and who want to play a challenging and legit game mode. Its my plan to create a group who plays once a week for , lets say, three – four hours, on one recurring day of the week. For me, Thursday evening or Sunday evening would be perfect, but an other day can be picked if more players are available on other days.
So, it’s a hardcore group existing out of 8 players ,who plays on the Europe realm. Other realms are welcome aswell, but then you have to keep in mind the European times. We shall play 100 % legit, untwinked, we shall do all quests, play all, or most areas. The group will have its own vivid item economy after a while, which belongs to every player in the group. So there will be item sharing and manners of course. Its real team play :flowers: .
MF-ing is prohibited, we shall play with what we find purely by doing all the quests and playing all the areas. I think you’ll be surprised how much good stuff can be found even by not-mfing, and creating smart runewords. Also it’s the idea that you only play this character on that one day on the week, so exping on your own would be prohibited aswell.
The objective is, of course, to have fun, stay alive and kill hell baal. After that, the team is disbanded and the characters you have will be ‘free’, that is , to join non- group games, exp, MF, etc. I will then think of creating another group with different characters etc, and you might think to join again with a new char or to have fun with your old char. The created item base will be divided fairly of course.
And oh yes, what do we do when a character dies ? Well, the group shall continue without that character, trying to kill hell baal with the remaining players. The died player is very welcome to join another group when this one is finished. But of course, we are good enough so nobody shall die in the first place ! :thumbsup:
Hmm and for a starting date I’d point to September. I have holidays at the moment and will be gone soon, the holidays are a bad time to start this kind of groups I think.
Also, feel free to experiment with character builds in this team, it will increase the fun factor. But try to create a character that nonetheless has some kind of point to it. For example, daggermancers are very rare but they can be good, an enchantress would be welcome if there is a skeleton warrior mancer and other melee-based chars, etc. + The team will have to be solid, so I think we need to contemplate a little on what will work best. Personally I haven’t played diabloII for quite a while and have lost sight on good and alternative character builds, but I’m sure I can get into it again soon enough; all kinds of suggestions are very welcome. And don’t forget to create a kickass merc !
Anyone up for this idea ? If so, post a reply with a character build suggestion, and the day of the week that will best suit you from September till we kill hell baal.
