    Etheral Question

I recently made a Zerker Barb I thought I was doing to little damage. When another Zerker Bard Cam Along he told me my BOTD Axe should have been Etheral b/c the ZOD makes it indestrutable and ETH does more damage.

Is that the best way to go?

The other axe I use is Beast Seeing as the does not repair itself I assume that one shoudl not be ETH is that correct?

Also are those two axes my best option for dmg I am playing in US East Non Ladder.

Thank You to all the respond.

BoTD should indeed be eBoTD (e- for the etheralness)
BoTD runeword should be made in etheral axes/swords, because eteral weapons have inherent 50ed, and the runeword makes them indestructable.
Also, beast axe in your second hand (on the right side of your character screen) boosts your dmg by a fair amount, as well as the speed and attack rating.

I'd suggest Grief BA if you're more towards PvP, and eBoTD ba if you're more of a PvM player.

Grief BA? What does that mean? Never seen one in Non ladder.

A little nitpick: The 50% ED is applied BEFORE the actual weapon ED, giving you literally 50% more damage on your BotD, instead of adding 50% on top of the ED, which would literally give you ~9% more damage. As for ED%, the Ethereal equals to 257.5% ED with a perfect BotdZ and 220% ED on a 350% BotdZ. Now, isn't that a lot of damage?

Grief BA is a Grief Berzerker Axe if I am correct. This is the same as a Grief Zerker or Griefz.

One reason you might not have seen it is because it is a ladder runeword. This means people hoard them like their firstborn because they must be made in ladder, then they turn into non-ladder items when the ladder resets. So on non-ladder they are fairly expensive. Last I heard was like 25-30 SOJ's for a good Grief.

If you get a Grief Berzerker Axe then look out if it is Superior because the repairs will be asronomical (200k+).

And that's why you do not use Superior items in PvP.

Actually you can repair it by transmuting an ort and any weapon into the cube.

Thats what I'm stuck doing if I dont end up trading my BA for a PB. Is it Ort or is it Ral? I've heard both now.

Thats why I ONLY use the Grief for PvP, because it isnt worth wasting the durability/gold/runes vs monsters when BOTD works just as fine.

I had 5 durability out of 27 I think and it was 202k to repair it. I hear that the superior CoH armors can get into the millions if you aren't careful.

Ort + weapon = fully repaired weapon (not ethereal weapons)

Ral + armor = fully repaired armor (not ethereal armor)

1 Ort Rune + 1 Chipped Gem (any kind) + Weapon = Fully Repaired and Recharged Weapon

1 Ral Rune + 1 Flawed Gem (any kind) + Armor = Fully Repaired and Recharged Armor
