Congrats on the Zod, FB. It works very well as currency in here - give me your Zod and I'll buy you a drink!
As for what to do with it, I suggest that you trade it for two Chams. Then keep trading up on those until you have however many bazillion El's you need to cube a zod. Then you know you've got any rune in the game at your fingertips.
