Equipping 2 of the "same" Legendary in 2.0?

So I got the Diablo 3 itch again after 2.0 launched, and decided to play my Barb. I used to play around with a Thrown Weapon/300th Spear build. Lo and Behold, my first drop while playing my Barb was... A 300th Spear! The Loot 2.0 version is slightly different (no movement speed), but curiously I can equip BOTH 300th Spears.

I'm not sure if this was possible when the original Legendary Overhaul happened (back when Legacy items got the "Legacy" tag prepended to them), but it is sure possible now.

I'm not savvy enough to verify if both +% DMG to Weapon Throws/Ancient Spears are stacking (the stat differential is quite staggering between the two spears, so I have not yet figured out how to test this).

Unfortunately, my Print Screen is dumping a big gray square into Paint, so I cannot generate a screenshot.

I wanted to share this information, and possibly seek help on how to show this to you folks.

Interesting. Haven't played Barb yet, since I was never a big Barb player. However, that sounds like a glitch. I'd imagine that the skill bonuses do stack now, but they probably should be able to be equipped together. You should probably report that on the Blizzard forums, though the lack of a screenshot might not be too helpful. Still, that is almost definitely a glitch, since I haven't been able to get the same kind of thing to happen with old Rings.

When you press Print Screen D3 should save a screenshot in your Documents folder, under Diablo III\Screenshots.

i don't know it is a bug or intended, but this was "normal" thing on PTR.
Was reported, never got a blue response.

There was a post about equipping 2 HF rings (one new and one old) and I think they say it is OK.....again, i think ( it will take time to find that post)

I think a legendary and its legacy (and its legacy legacy if such exists) version are considered different legendary. I guess it is buggy feature but it would be more reasonable to fix it.

It's not a glitch, it's always been there. For example, wanna epeen meaningless stats on dprogress? Nats version 1 + 2 for cc or justice lanterns for EHP. And so on. If you wanted you could go dual soj + diamond weapon (though an emerald would still probably be better dps) and melt elites.

Yup, what Steve said. After 1.0.4 I remember using a legacy Bul Kathos and new Bul Kathos ring for the added life drain effect. It was cool for a few minutes before I realized both rings we're really just ****
