Equipment help.....kinda

hello, im making a concentrate barb,using Halciets guide as a template(nice guide BTW) and i was wondering what would be the best weapon for me to use. I am ruling out BOTD and the other high end runewords because there is basically 0% chance of me ever getting one.

Ive got a baranars star right now, and im wondering if theres a better one handed weapon i could use that could be relatively easy to obtain.

Would it be better to have a 3 socket weapon and make a cresent moon or have baranars star?


As for the other gear he will be using, in case its needed for some reason:

Stormshield
Arreats face
highlord wrath
a skullders for mf'ing
and the rest i havent figured out yet


any help you can supply would be greatly appreciated

You could trade for a non-eth Death Cleaver for fairly cheap, and that's a really powerful weapon to have. If you could find a nice weapon to stick it in, a Cresent Moon might well out-perform Baranar's.

What is the best one handed weapon for Cresent Moon, and how can i get the 3 sockets in it? Can i add the sockets with the act5 quest or is there some other way to add sockets, or would i have to find one out there that has 3 sockets?

also, in your opinion, which would be better, a good death cleaver or a good Cresent moon?

A berserker axe or balrog blade would be my picks for the best 1h weapons for cresent moon, with emphasis on the axe. You'd have to find one; using larzuk to socket one will put the maximum number of sockets in it (4 for the blade and 6 for the axe).

I'd say the Death Cleaver would be the superior weapon, thanks to the mass amount of IAS and the huge deadly strike %. Cresent Moon isn't shabby though.

ok last question, i promise.

if i can get a 3 socket berserker axe, and make a cresent moon, what would the level requirement be, would it be lvl 64 from the axe, of lvl 47 from Cresent Moon?

Highest requirement is always superior. So it would be lvl 64 from the axe.

ok, i recently aquired a non-ethereal death cleaver, and im wondering what would be good to socket in it? I've got a 40%ed jewel, will this be good? or is there something better that i could use? not including things like 40/15's, or other really expensive things.
