Enjoying this game so far! A couple questions ...
I'm playing this game through for the first time and so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm about half way through nightmare skill level with a fishymancer and the information I've gained by reading the threads here is fantastic. However, with every newcomer, there are always questions.
1. Are gems/skulls worth collecting? I save every rune I see but I hear that the bonuses from gems could be supplied from runes later in the game anyway. Right now I am saving the topaz and diamonds and combining them in the cube for the perfects and selling off the other colored gems. Would it be in my best interest to collect the other colors or even the ones I now collect for later?
2. My resistances are ridiculously low. I'm only in nightmare so it doesn't seem to be a huge issue at the moment, but it seems in hell my resistances will be lowered even more. Should this be something I really look to boosting? I have diamonds but none of my stuff is that great and are not socketed. I'd rather not waste the act 5 socketing quest on a inferior item.
3. When is gambling worth it? I know there are good items that can come from it but I don't know when/what level any of the decent stuff (+skills, etc) starts showing up.
