The fcr on fort isn't really useful if you dont teleport hehe. Enigma is better vs everything, there really isn't any discussion. Fort is fun and somewhat nice vs a few opponents with specific playing styles but not worth sacrificing any stat points whatsoever for if you're going for optimal performance.

Enigma is the best overall armor in diablo 2. It has teleport, which is necessary for most PvP, and a giant strength bonus that allows for most builds to function with minimal strength. The only time fortitude is really useful is for BvB, and other specific melee-only fighting with no fancy manoeuvres. However, if you're thinking about getting one or the other, then Enigma is your choice.

Fort is for bowazons. And bvbs. Sometimes zealots.
You can use fort in bvc v bvc duels too. I think you can win if you use fort and the other bvc is a base str vita barb. But i think it won't be a fair duel and you wont win with any satisfactions. Might as well use enigma.

I would prefer using eth shaftstop on a zealer which gives room for an awesome visionary ,stat circ... anyways.
In my opinion.. fortitude on a barb is only useful for bvb, barb vs hdin.
You use engima for.. pretty much all the other duels.
Vs sorcs
vs necro
vs druid
vs smiter/foh/other variants other than hdin
vs sins
vs everybody else (bah, lazy to list others
)
