Energy Shield and Nightsmoke

Do these work together? I mean 50% dmg to mana basically doubles effectiveness of energy shield.

Please correct me if i'm wrong...

Damage to mana means that when you take damage, you get back mana. However, it's based on the damage you actually take, not the damage your opponent deals. Therefore, if your opponent deals 200 damage after PvP penalty, DR would knock that down to 100 damage. If your Energy Shield absorbs 50 of that, you'd take 50 damage at no loss in mana.

X% damage to mana is calculated from the damage your life bulb actually takes.

oh so lets say

i get hit for 1000
lvl 1 ES absorbs 250 of that
my life bulb gets hit for 750
i get 50%*750=375 back in mana, using 50% nightsmoke

That would mean you have very low eshield 25% dmg to mana and also 16 points in telekinesis since then you will lose 1 mana for 1 damage. Without telekines you would lose 500 mana and 750 life for that 1000 damage.

you are right. at lvl 1 it is 2 mana per pt of dmg. thanks.
