enchantress is a sorceress with the skill enchant, which can be used on other players to increase damage. High level enchant will give a new player monsterously higher damage than without.
it does not only add damage, but attack rating. this means low level chars will have no problems at all roaming around anywhere at normal dif.lvl killing things on their own in 8player games. effective
