    Elemental Damage on Small Charms

i've never really looked into the elemental damage on small charms (or any for that matter), but as you guys don't well know, I'm creating a check list for items that I want. Elemental Charms popped up!

So does anyone know the range of elemental damage (including suffixes and prefixes) of any of the charm classes?

    Thanks,
    Roux

Thanks a lot guys, i thought the AS was out of date, but i guess it'll work anyways

thanks for the great calculator too!
    WOOT

PS - umm... how come when i checked the site it says the most poison damage a charm can have is 225 but i *know* people with over that number (like 3xx'ish and 270ish)?

I haven't read the site, but I guess this means damage inflicted during the onset time of a 100 pdsc.

You always have to consider how many seconds are needed to inflict the poison damage. 100 damage over 5 seconds (20/sec) are better than 200 damage over 20 seconds (10/sec), for example.

Those charms have two poison affixes. Most commonly Toxic and Pestilent as prefix and "of Anthrax" as suffix.

    o_O

An affix is either a suffix or prefix, and since magical items can spawn with one of each, Small charms can have 2 Poison dmg affixes.

    ummm... yea

    well
    prefix - 50 poison damg
    suffix - 175 poison damg
    ------------------------
    - 225 poison damg

still confused, i added both the prefix and suffix when i did the search

i do remember some one telling me that numbers could get higher than the number listed in AS, it's just that they list the average, may be this is the case?

    thanks in advance,
    Roux

lol, thanks cujo i went through 2-3 links to find it and it gave a partial answer so basically if i get a charm from a higher level the higher the poison damage can be? (in this case 330?)

PS - wow, you've hit 1033 posts in one year and i've only done 80 so . . . either you have no life or i do (i'd agree with the latter)

Yes the high elemental charms only comes from Baal(Mlvl99) or Nihlathak(Mlvl95), since these are the only ones that are high enough lvl

1033 posts is nothing compared to other forum members (think some tops 10.000), but actually I do have a life (thats atleast what I like to think  ), but I'm lucky enough to have a job that lets me sit around the net about 3-4 hours aday, and what would be better than spending that time in here :D

diablo(94) is high enough for Pestilent of anthrax too. as well as flamming i think..

well anyway his charm will be alvl 89 so wich ever affixs are alvl89 or lower

u would get about 451 over 12 seconds from a pest of anthrax sc

this is the first time i saw nilathik as listed as 95.. is that correct cujo.. i thought he was 92 now.

Yep, forgot about Diablo and your right he can spawn a Pestilent of Anthrax as the only high elemental mod (not too sure about flaming, even tho as I see it he does meet the req to drop it)

-According to some of the veterans around here Nihlathak is Mlvl95..this was written by Shade, and he usually got his info correct :

"His base monster type (a Nihlathak, if you will) is level 92, but he's a Unique Nihlathak, so he's 92+3 = 95."

In fact he's a SuperUnique Nihlathak.
He is one of 4 monsters who are both SuperUniques and Bosses - the fact that he is a Boss is important too, otherwise he would have his level affected by the level of the area he is found in (which is only 84).
Bosses aren't affected by area level.
    SUs get a +3 bonus.
Nihlathak is both. The others that are both are Radament, Griswold and the Summoner.

The top few elemental mods (with their alvls) are
    Pestilent **
    Flaming 89
    Shocking 90
    Hibernal 91

Diablo SCs have alvl 89 so can get Flaming. Nihlathak SCs are alvl 91 so can get them all (as can Baal SCs of course which are alvl 99).
