Ele Druid Strat - how to max the skills?

Hello,

I have recently built an Ele Druid and enjoy playing it. I read a guide on RpgForums.Net about how to build an ele druid, but I can't seem to cast spells at the level mentioned in the article. Perhaps someone can comment.

The guide is here:

http://forums.rpgforums.net/showthread.php?t=238126

So I seem to have problems reaching the skills, which the author mentions. He says he can cast at level 44. With all the equipment and twinking, I cast at level 36, I still need 3-4 Skill Charms, so max I will be able to get is level 40.

In other words, right now the amount of damage I deal is: Hurricane 2000-2100, Tornado 4100-4300. He says he got Hurricane @ 2600-2700 and Tornado @ 5800-6000 dmg. How I can possibly do that?

Here is my equipment:

Helm: Shako (+2 skill)
Amu: Mara (+2 skill)
Weapon: Hoto (+3 skill)
Shield: Spirit Runeword (+2 skill)
Armor: Viper (+1 skill)
Belt: Archanid (+1 skill)
Rings: Soj & Bul (+2 skill)
Gloves: Frost Fire
Boots: Sandstorm Treck

Charms: I got 3, but I want 7 eventually. Can you fit in more?

So total boost to skills is: 16, which makes me cast at level 36.

I would appreciate if someome can comment / discuss.

ive gotten to 7k on nado, but i used a delirium...to get the 6k hes talkin about, u probably have to go with 10 charms. if u plan on dueling, get an enigma, or u will die.

Welcome to the druid forum. Let's see if i can help.

20 max points invested
10 skillers in inventory
1 anni
+2 shako
+2 enigma
+2 maras
+2 from bk/sojs
+3 Hoto
+2 Spirit shield
+1 arach

Grand total of 45

If you made a delirium pelt using something with +3 tornado, hurrican, cyclone armor, then they could be higher. If you use +3 elemental ammy, that increases the damage.

Hey, thanks everyone... Thanks for welcome, it's good to find this forum.

It makes sense, with 10 skillers it's possible. Well, I use my Ele Druid rather for PvM and enjoy it much.

Also, do you use Cyclone Armor? I've read that Cyclone nulls your resi, which hurt, since I maxed my resi on hell. So is it better to go with Cyclone or without?

I've also experimented with using ravens and wolves, but they rather die quickly. I assume everyone here goes for Grizzly, correct?

Cyclone armor is nice. It takes elemental damage, this excludes poison and magic, before instead of you until it runs out. Just recast it if it disappears. It allows you to value resists lower when making gear choices.

wolves provide multiple targets while grizzly is good against area of effect spells
