For years, the world of the sanctuary has been plagued by the minions of hell. The legend always sang for the epic heroes that rid the world of the prime evils. But what of the lesser evils?

People could not graze their cattles. Merchants could not trade between towns. People lived in agnoy everyday fearing their babies might be stolen by the wicked succubus at night.

However, a pack of a less renowned heroes emerged. Their goal? Not to be left in the history book or tales or songs, but fought for the people that suffered mightily. In some way, they were the true heroes. While the great patriarch/matriarch circled the streets of the beautiful marble citadel of Westmarch, showered in petal and praises of citizens, these unsung heroes stood by in a corner unnoticed.

When a little girl tugged on their shirt and said, "Thanks for killing that quill rat that killed Cindy!"

A smile grew on their faces. No reward by the wise great king could ever match the sunshine from a little girl's face.

We start in act 1 and clear every single area (including the cave and all other none essential areas) to cleanse the world of evil.

It will be a lengthy journey. I am not going to lie. It might take several hours (might be even up to a day). So, my idea is to have shifts.

If we can get enough people, we can take turns. As long as we keep the game alive, there will be the day when at least one world in the entire east battlenet realm will be rid of all monsters.

we document all important drops and progess back in this thread once the project started. but whoever made the kill keep the spoil

and when we finally reach the throne of baal and held his severed head up high, we will be forever enshrined in the great vahalla of heroes.

this sounds like a blast; count me in; just can it wait a week; ive god midterms coming up and i wont be free until thursday night at the earliest

You know, im making full clears like that with my friend (Orb and boltress), it only takes 2 hours for act 1-4. Then if you get gloams in act 5 count 3 more hours :grin:

well, i am planning to wait for a few more people =)

more people = more drop = more fun since monsters are harder to kill

You just know this will be impossible to do accurately. Think of how many times you've recircled the den of evil looking for that 1 last monster. The only surefire way to doing this is to have "modifiedminimap" help.

well, that's why a team is better. someone will always be looking out for a monster that you didn't kill.

thanks for the interest by everyone. i had hoped to begin sometimes in the middle of this week. but i caught a horrible fever this sunday (hence my greatly reduced appearance around the forum... not that anyone cares :cry:)

well im off for the entire next week and i have all the free time in the world; except tuesday; gotta watch the nhl trade dead line deals

i just read the slaughter them all thread..... he only talking about the big bosses to get quest drops. not full game clear

i'm really not sure yet, i might be working saturday, and i wont find out till thursday. but, anytime bt now and thursday would be excelent, but if that doesn't work ill try to make it saturday if i;m not working.

mm better sign me up, no telling when there will be evil gloam swarms on the way to anya, and you need someone to save the bacon (like that time with morgant, yeah the tele-hdin was me :D ).

classes thursday nights, saturday allday. generally free otherwise.

couple questions about the flavor of this excercise:
1) new characters, norm game? and if not then..
2) where what who...?
3) if new characters, untwinked then right?
4)will we then be following through with nm and hell while remaining untwinked and continuing to try to cleanse the world???
5) if not new characters, or if twinked new characters, any rules aside from the full clearing?

i think thats all the questions that were worthwhile (read:sane) i could come up with at near midnight here, so i guess count me in.

other if not depending on rules restrictions. i'm presuming new chars so far.
