It also requires 253 str. Are you really going to want 253 str as a caster?

Hoto + Spirit grants 65-75% FCR, some blocking, lots of resists, life, mana, and requires 100 less strength. Guess which one I recommend.

From a pure number crunching point of view spirit/hoto. I however when playing an elemental druid, which I have not for some time, enjoy carrying around a hammer bigger than I am and whacking things silly with it. enjoy the looks u can get FCR somewhere else

earthshifter is only good for prebuffing cyclone armor. And if I got a earthshifter just for that then I would have hel runed the crap out of it. Yes I would point at the screen at the item and Scream "your getting heled and thats that, muaaaauauaaa!" Then put a hel in it. Even for a melee windy. I would still rather use a kingslayer or a passion.

    hoto, and spirit.

spirt, and spirit. Bolth seam to be a better set up.

benefits of earth shifter for a caster char
    +7 to ele skills

    benefits of using spirit/hoto
    +5 to ALL skills
    65-75 FCR
    increase mana 15%
    30-40 res

i dont even want to list anymore.. why would you want to use earth shifter ?

looks pure and simple. If you want to be as powerful as you can possibly be then hoto/spirit is the best combo, but hoto is so ugly :wink3: and either way both combinations are extremely powerfull for PvM you don't really need resistance with cyclone armour; just make a habit of recasting it every 30 seconds to refresh it. It sounds hard but I have the same thing with my necro's bone armour, I barely notice having to recast it. and once you learn how to play a windy a shield and blocking are not really crucial to survival. now for PvP........ sigh as much as I love how that hammer looks hoto/spirit is the only way to go

Hoto grants 30-40 res all, but spirit shield also grants a buttload of resistance as well.

Personally, for style, an etheral "hel" earthshifter is gg. Not many classes actually have a reason to use a maul, let alone use one and not be shifted.

yeahh the maul would be different/unique or what ever, but the thread starter is obviously going for supperiority, not style hehe
