[E-SC-L] Open level 30 LLD tournament.
Well, GreatZeal's tournament try was a flop (no offense) so i am trying my hand at organizing one. let's see... if i forget anything lmk, but here's what i was going to go with. i've borrowed some rules from various places so that everything is out in the open and perfectly clear. i dont want anyone to assume anything and then be surprised later.
Structure
- 15 life sc buy in will be paid to me before any dueling starts. winner take all.
- level 30 max
- open (meaning you can bring melee but you're at an inherent disadvantage vs caster/ranged)
- 12 man tournament (if we have less participation that's alright to, trying to avoid any buys. of course more is better but i though 12 was a nice number to shoot for)
- bracket format when everyone's signed up i'll randomly assign the first duels. after that the winner advances on to the next round.
- 1v1 duels first to 3 takes. final round will be first to 5
Banned Skills
- holy freeze
- all curses except lower resist and amp (including ctc)
- bone prison (wall is fine)
- clay golem
- slow missiles
Banned Items
- no item with slow by % (cleg gloves for example)
- no potions of any kind (life, mana, cold, stamina, antidote)
- no hacked, duped, bugged items (bmana for instance)
- no item with %maxed res may be used (no resistance stack limit)
- peace rune word may not be used vs an opponent using a ranged missile attack
Other rules
- no nk (i wasnt even going to mention it but i thought i better)
- all duels take place in blood moor in act 1 normal
- blood moor must be cleared of all monsters before a duel
- both participants say "ready" when they are ready and then "go" before duel commences
- no stash prebuffing (once you're in the moor and are ready no going back to stash
- no mercs at any time
- no excessive running to regenerate life
- no shrines
- you may not leave the game once a duel starts, doing so is auto loss
- you may leave and rejoin game for charge bug or anya bug but only between duels
- take screenshots in case of disagreement
- if asked to show gear you must comply without going back to stash. failure to do so means being dropped from the tournament.
- either the winner or loser of the match will post the result within one day of the match taking place
- when the matchings are posted each participant will have 3 days to get in contact with their opponent and agree on a time to duel within 5 days
-no recasting of bone armor or cyclone armor
we all have lives outside of d2 so while i'd love for this tournament to take place in one day i realize this will be impossible. we will begin duels Saturday, May 19th. we will finish one round before starting the next. people may enter up until Thursday, May 17th. this will give me a day to post the bracket and iron out any details.
when you sign up pm me the name and pass of a mule account with a 15 life sc on it. this is your entry fee and if i dont receive it before Saturday, then you're dropped from the tournament.
this tournament will be 90% on your honor, if there is a problem with a duel/match pm me and we will reduel with a judge (me). save all your pm's back and forth to one another just in case of a disagreement. if you dont have proof of a claim then there's nothing i can do. screen shots are also recommended.
if anyone thinks of something else please post here now. this thread will be a rules discussion and a sign up thread. after everyone has signed up i will post another thread for the actual tournament. get the word out i know a lot of people who dont regularly check the pvp forum but duel regularly if you see this let them know.
