    dream pala, some questions

    hi, I was thinking of making a dram paladin,
    first I would like to know, if I have dream helm+shield, do they stack?
    my skills would be:
    conviction 20
    resist lightning 20
    zeal 20
    holy shield 20
    rest into salvation (it gives extra dmg into holy shock)

    equipment:
    weapon= grief pb
    armor= stone? or what?
    shield= dream (if they stack) otherwise hoz
    helm= dream
    belt= verdungos
    gloves= some gloves with ias maybe?
    boots= gores
    jewelry= raven/angelic/angelic or raven/bk/highlord

    all suggestions are welcome, thanks

    Yes they do stack.
    and you're going to want to stay away from salvation unless you dont plan on pvping... or stacking on a HOJ and dragon armor on this guy... but thats a totally different build. the prefered pvp build centers around high level charge, which is great for the most part. but you can still have great pvp sucsess with your base level charge and maxed zeal for the most part since casters wont have the defense to repel you... and you'll still do rediculous lightning damage.

    (these are the only things that matter)
    20 lightning resist
    20 conviction
    20 holy shield
    (either one is optional)
    20 charge
    rest into might
    OR
    20 zeal
    rest into sacrifice

    even smite works nicely...

    grief is the best weapon for all three builds... with the exception of sometimes using a doom zerker.
    to get 4fps zeal, or 6fps smite you'll need respectively 65, and 72 ias w/o fanatiocism

    I have already 5 skills in zeal, so I think that I will go with zeal then, and sacrifice instead or salvation, tho I would like to got into pvp with him too.. but thanks alot.. :clap:

    gloves = 20 ias (LOH is probably the best)
    ammy = HL's wrath
    armor = i reccomend levi, or upped shaft... fort is nice if you're plain fanatical and obsessed with offense at a cost of solid DR.
    wep = Grief phase... if you're zealing this is it right here... the only other way around grief that i see is maxed blessed aim/zeal and using a botd phase... then you're pretty much pure lightning (but you'll have some stupid good ar!) also you can use a beast zerker... but it wont be doing too much for your physical damage when compared to a insane grief.
    boots = gores
    rings = 20dex ravens 0r raven/bk.

    It seems too me that smite would be a better main attack than zeal for this kind of build.

    1) Smite only needs 1 more skill (smite) maxed too be fully effective, zeal needs 2 (zeal and sacrafice).
    2) Smite ignores defence and block completely.
    3) Smite only needs 15-25 additional ias with a grief pb (one ias item instead of two if you get a good grief).
    4) Smite stuns people so they cant fight back as easily.

    They both do similar damage when sacrafice is maxed, zeal is two frames faster but being able to ignore opponents block would let you hit more often with smite almost all the time.

    Whatever you make i want to duel it :thumbsup:

    base level smite with 2 dreams and maxed holyshield is a nasty customer... but maxed smite is even better... (i've got 2 dreamers on the go... including a smiter) if you plan on fighting melees a small smite investment is a much better idea then going the zeal route... since a good zealot will rip you down in a matter of seconds if you try to zeal him.
