Double Play?

Double Play?

I've got a network set up and I wanna play Diablo II: LoD on both computers at the same time.

I could probably share the CD drive of one of them if I needed to, but I'd still only have one CD key. I'd also be connecting from the same IP because of how the network works, the external IP is the same.

My question is, is there any free way to do this with the equipment I already have? We wanna play on Battle.net together.

If there's no free way, do I need to buy only another D2: LoD, or both a D2 and a D2:LoD?

IP does not matter in this case, so having the same external IP on two computers won't help. When a given cd-key is used to log on to Battle.net, you can't log on from another computer with the same cd-key. So there is no free way to do this, and you would need an extra of both cd-keys (classic + expansion) to be able to do it. Both copies are pretty cheap nowadays, though.

Me and my girlfriend play on both computers. We share the internet connection with a router and use two copies of Diablo II and Lord of Destruction.
And the game is very cheap these days, as Snowieken said. We bought one of the games and expansion quite cheap (don't remember prize) and traded the other for a pizza :) A friend quit the game and I took advantage of him when he was hungry one day.

So I have to have a 2nd copy of classic as well? I can't install classic on both and separate copies of expansion?

What part of "classic + expansion" and "both cd-keys" didn't you understand? :)

And I am asking that in the nicest way possible, don't worry. Yes, you need extra copies of both. Whenever logging on to Battle.net, it checks both cd-keys.
