DSL was my first broadband experience, and I was happy with it. However, I've been much happier with cable and have been using that for nearly 3 years now. From what I understand, cable tends to be better than DSL when there aren't a lot of people sharing the cable line, and DSL is better when cable is more jammed. I'm very fortunate to apparently be on a pretty clear line, and as a result, I experience very smooth connection, VERY little downtime, and it's generally way faster than my DSL connection ever was (though I've not experienced DSL in nearly 3 1/2 years now).

I've had a rock steady 768 kpbs Verizon DSL line for a few years now, I could switch to a 1.5 mbit cable connect but I don't want to compete for my bandwidth. I always know what the DSL line is going to do. (Verizon's actually a good ISP around here, that is, as long as nothing breaks and you don't have to call 'em up) :cheesy:

I laugh at all you slow connected people! HA! I say HA! I got all 5 megs of connection here, of course that is only because I am the only one within a 3 mile radius of the main box(which is in my backyard btw), it is good to live in the center of old people central. . .sometimes.

I think the cable in my area is better than my DSL, but I just don't wana go through the process of changing my email addresses again. I kinda agree that cable is much faster than DSL.

Oh hey, those that use Verizon, how much do you pay a month? I'm paying $35 for my regular bandwidth one. Is it worth it to upgrade to the business DSL? It's like 20 bucks more.

Who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks? *goes to Spazed's neighborhood and sells cable contracts to everyone* :teeth:

Probably not. You get higher priority tech support, but as far as I know the base service doesn't change much.
(Verizon's site is being a piece of crap ATM so I can't give you more specifics.)

My brother has DSL, and it's much smoother then some of the Cable access around here. It all depends on the amount of Cable usage in the area, I guess. Which is why I voted DSL.

Now see I told you I live in the middle of a large group of old people who don't even have computers. They don't want them, so your plan is moot you just sold them something they can't use.

We also just got a letter saying we will have a 15 minute downtime at 3am tommorow to boost our speed up to 7.5mbps :flip: :flip: :flip:
