Is it just me, but in GTA, unless you're using cheats, eventually the military always comes in and kicks your bum.

seriously, the kids that are going to go crazy aren't going crazy because of the video games...they're going crazy beause they're crazy.

and fat people are fat because they don't exercise....yes, if they play video games all day everyday they don't get much exercise...unless they are really bad at it...when i play video games...i get lots of exercise...:)

Maybe I'm wrong or something...but last I checked, food makes people fat.
Well playing games obviously allows you to break the conservation of mass rule and make your own new mass in the form of fat.

Kids are violent because they have no outlet these days. We can't do/say anything that could ever possibly offened even the most PC person ever to live. Because you know me telling Billy that not every story has a good ending or telling him that he is fat my scar him for life and cause him to freak out and kill people. . .

As I have said before and say again the following will never happen.

Scene: Bobby is sitting down for a snack after playing video games.

Voice in head: Kill! Kill! Kill!
Bobby: Satan? Is that you?
Voice: No it'sa me a Mario!

If video games made people violent there wouldn't be shootings instead I would go around jumping on peoples heads waiting for coins to pop out of their ***.

They have proven that it is lack of exercise that is the leading cause of obesity, its something like a 50% decrease in physical activity and a 95% increase in obesity, with only like a 5% increase in caloric intake.....

*dont cite me, my memory kinda sux*

It's sorta like when Tipper Gore asked Frank Zappa if he felt that music incited deviant behavior in people and he said something to the effect of "Well I wrote a song about dental floss and did anyone's teeth get cleaner?"

Video games dont affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we would all run around in a darkened room munching pills and listening to repetitive music.
- K. Wilson, Nintendo

And thus the true cause of the rave/E generation has been discovered.

It is "We would all live in dark rooms with neon mazes listening to funny music while popping pills that made us think we could temporarily "kill" a ghost."

I cried when I gave away my atari...

I am dissapointed the study didnt look into why playing video games makes middle aged, fat, manic depressive old guys such mean bitter pricks?

You know, the friendly guys you stumble across on the realm spewing about ev0l kid?
I lub them!
:yep:

what a sec! maybe it's not the game!

Look, the whole getting fat, getting skinny thing is easy.

calories consumed > calories burned = increased weight
calories burned > calories consumed = loss of weight

It doesn't matter how you do either. If you burn less calories than you consume because you're sitting on your butt all day or are active yet you just happen to eat crap all day, you'll still gain weight. It doesn't matter if you're playing video games or staring at the wall. Video games are just another reason for people to stay inside, but they're not directly correlated with weight gain. As for the violence thing... well that's a whole 'nother story and one that I'm tired of debating.

If you want an extreme sport try lethargy. Guaranteed to kill you in just 100-300lbs.

I was thinking of adults since adolescents just have freakishly inconsistent metabolisms.

And that would just be creepy if you could do that. *shudder*
