does liberator REALLY need Enigma?

I'm making myself a liberator on USWest Softcore Ladder.

So far, I've made a BOTD and HoTo..and that literally made me use every penny I have in D2..I'm now trying to get some pally charms...does a liberator really need enigma = teleport to do well in pub duels? Because honestly I think using charge + hammer is a superior way of dueling with hammer. And without enigma, that will give me much more versatility over which armor to use. Although enigma gives great STR boost in breastplae but i dont know, I dont really wanna MF hardcore again to afford a enigma.

One of your problems is you are seing an enigma as just a strength boost... take a look at the other mods... I would have Definately made an enigma before I made a hoto...

or botd for that matter. enigma is basis of these kinds of builds. 68 str at lvl 90...no armor competes with it.
its not used for say tele, more for the str. i do just fine w/out tele.

not Just for the strength though... here are all the useful mods:

+2 To All Skills
+45% Faster Run/Walk
+1 To Teleport
+757 Defense
+ (0.75 Per Character Level) +1-74.25 To Strength (Based On Character Level)
Increase Maximum Life 5%
Damage Reduced By 8%
+14 Life After Each Kill
15% Damage Taken Goes To Mana
+ (1 Per Character Level) +1-99% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items (Based On Character Level)

now... im no math genious... but thats a hell of a lot of good mods. and you can bold the mana related ones too if your a caster

if you use draculs and enigma u can get 29 to life after each kill, which is like level 1 redemption life...thats nice for pvm hammerdin...

with an ani and an enigma, you dont need any str, which means only dex and vit...get like 50 dex from gear and you have over 400 base vit...nasty!
