Do you remember?

Do you remember the first (or close to first) thread you started in the OTF? (Or, alternatively if you aren't the creative type...the first topic that made you hit the "post reply" button.)

I think mine was about 2.5 years ago, I started some random spam quoting a line from SNL about malfeasence in the railroad industry...or something like that.

What topic did you start your post-lurker addiction on?

On Topic: The very first thread I ever made on this site was here on the OTFs. It was entitled: "Where does everybody get their avatars?"

It ended up being about 6,000 pages long and actually stayed on topic -- which for the OTFs is absolutely amazing! It also served its purpose and I ended up getting an avatar that I really like.

That silly thread kept getting revived every other day. It would slip to page 4 or 5 and then somebody would resurrect it. Hell, I think people were still posting in it right up until the day of this most recent forum wipe.

I rarely start threads -- I'm too boring to think of a topic. I prefer to jump in on other people's discussions.

I replied to a thread about "What's your favorite song?" or something like that. Either Hatsepsut or Malefecent (sp?) suggested Puff the Magic Dragon and I posted something responding to that.

First thread/post in the OTF? Hmm, I don't remember. I do remember why I started posting on diabloii.net though...(cue flashback fade)

It was December 2002, and I lurked in the Necro forum quite a bit, until one day, someone posted a poem they wrote about being a Necromancer. It moved me so much, I was compelled to register just to post a reply, and have been doing so ever since.

My first post was in the barb forum maybe. I can't really remember. It only took me about a day after discovering the OTF to become addicted. My first post here was a hello thread. Then I posted in an Iraq thread where everyone kept talking about this PLF character.

My first thread was a "Hi there" thread on the SPF I think... I seem to remember my first post on the OTF was something responding to a comment about the war on terror or some other fancy political thingie...
