Do you buy HCL items?

I just checked out some HCL session 2 items listed on a well known website. I found it interesting that ppl are actually selling or buying HCL session 2 items for real $. It's also interesting seeing some rare items (full Trans set, for example) are not very expensive, and some expensive items are not really rare (full Signon's, for instance).

Most bids are a few dollars or less. So, with about $50, you could fully arm your meterorb sorc or hammerdin with the best gear you can imagine for that char. If you level up your favorite char (say, a sorc) on the ladder for a week or so and get her to some lvl 80, and then you spend $ to equip her with Tal's armor, SS, occulus..., you may very well get some "nice" experience with the game. You may have saved your MF time this way, and yet you don't lack items for fully enjoying playing HCL with your favorite char. If you start to do Hell MF after you power up your char, you may end up with many "valuable" items in the end. Surely, I assume this is your familiar char and you wouldn't arm her just to remember her deeds a few minutes later.

Isn't this a nice way of playing d2 HCL? Particulary to those "lazy" ppl or those with tight schedules? The money that gets spent on those digital items is just like what you spend on bowling, golf, lotter... All is for fun.

Disclaimer: I'm only talking about a well known fact about d2 HCL game play. I'm not for it. nor am I against it.
