dmg differences on Grief

ok, here we go..
Im amongst those who hate paying 10+ists for a perfect Grief, but still im quite wealthy so I want a decent one..

My question is how much calculated dmg you loose by getting a bad one.
For example whats the final dmg with a 340 grief and a 400one
Lets say I have lvl25 smite lvl25 zeal and lvl23 fana.. And using a upped HoZ 46-46 dmg.

Focus on smite dmg but would be nice with some Zeal dmg too

Please someone help me calculate

Difference in weapon damage: 60 min and 60 max.

I normally don't mess with smite much, but for Zeal:

lvl 25 Zeal with 1 pt in Sacrifice (prereq): +138% damage.
lvl 23 Fanaticism : +424% damage

You didn't mention any other sources of +%ed, so i'm going to assume you have +150% from stats and none from gear.

[60 * (1+1.38+4.24+1.5)] => [487.2] => 487 (min and max) damage difference.

Each extra point in sacrifice (up to 19 more hard points) is worth 7.2 damage difference. Each extra 10%ed off weapon is worth 6 damage difference.

If it's a phase blade grief (31-35 damage), and my above assumptions are right, then:
-the low end grief would be 3012 - 3045 damage
-the high end grief would be 3499 - 3532 damage

I'll just calculate the dmg difference, since that is what you want to know.

Slvl 25 Smite: +375% ed
Slvl 25 Zeal: +138% (I'm assuming Slvl 1 Sacrifice here)
Slvl 23 Fanat: +424%
Str: 150 = +150% ed (you forgot to add this, so I'll just use 150.)

60 shield/weapon dmg difference
Smite: 629.4 dmg difference
Zeal: 487.2 dmg difference

Of course, if you get a +370 Grief, then these values will be halved when comparing to a perfect Grief.

noticed both your Zeal dmg was the same... hehe, no miscalcs here :lol:

thegianturtle yes your assumption was almost right. I missed to tell about the 20%ED on Duress armor.. no big deal I think
But only 1point in Sacrifice yet.. Dont know if ill go with Defiance or Sacrifice.. Know this might be wrong forum but do you guys have any idea which will do better?.. Have 75% cb and soon a low/mid Grief

Conclusion:
Think I can live with those ~500 less dmg.. my wallet is happy :clap:

You said I didnt asked for my dmg with Grief.. I know so here it comes
Could you give me an idea what smite dmg i would do with 170str and 20%ed mod on armor (Duress). And yes I got myself a Grief. Its +365
