Diminishing returns mini-guide

What is "diminishing returns?" This simply refers to the fact that on some skills, the next skill point will give you less benefit than the previous. Diminishing returns are common in aura and passive type skills, and many people are interested in diminishing returns when planning their character and deciding how many hard skill points to allocate. After all, you don't want to 'waste' skill points for a very small additional bonus, if some other skill might benefit you more.

As this this type of guide is more relevant to the Shadow Disciplines tree, I will focus on that.

Venom
The increase in damage actually goes up with additional points.

Increase in damage goes up with additional points. Stun length is a constant increase.

Psychic Hammer, Cloak of Shadows, Shadow Warrior, Shadow Master
Choices of using these skills are not affected by diminishing returns, so they are not described here.

Since I've started my own trapasin, I've been reading the guides and also the various posts about them that have recently been appearing, and I've specifically been thinking about the Fade ability. It seems the Shadow tree is the most variable part of an assasin build so I thought it might be useful to have all this info laid out.
