Diablo mouse lag fullscreen

K well, running d2 in Disabled visual themes, desktop composition, run as admin,windows service pack 2.

Runs at 600+fps in windows mode
Maxes out at 60 in fullscreen
I put vertical refresh at "Always off/Performance"
Wont run in 2d instead of 3d. I try to put it on 2d it doesnt save at video test.

im lost, been trying to fix this for hours.. any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

For many gfx cards you have to switch off this Aero style thingie, but I guess that's these "visual themes".

You don't have to run the game as admin once you applied the latest patch.

The game runs at 60 fps in full-screen because your monitor has a refresh rate of 60 fps (which is what the gfx card provides accordingly) while these timing issues are handled in a different manner in windowed mode.

I suggest to get the Glide wrapper which provides a Glide API to the game (respectively those parts of it which are used by the game). That's not a hack or cheat, but a kind of enhanced gfx card driver, although purists might have problems with features like mouse capture, scaling and the on-screen clock. If installed, you can select Glide in the video test program which will improve performance greatly.
