I'll continue to post about hirings for Diablo IV here, as a sort of continuation of the thread Thoughts on Unannounced Project in the D3 forum which has run its course with the announcement of Diablo IV.

Hiring for Diablo IV continues at full speed. At the time of writing, they have 24 open positions. 4 of these are intern positions. The following positions are available:

Can we conclude that Diablo 4 is still a very long way off, if they still need to hire a lot of new people? Or is this common practice when making a new AAA title?

Well it depends. If you look at diablo 2, blizzard north already had an existing group of people brought over from the original diablo to work on the game. With diablo 4, it seems like they are trying to establish a whole new team. I just hope they won't make the same mistake as they did with diablo 3, by hiring the wrong people like they did with jay wilson.

Hiring is continuing at a high level. There are currently 25 "Diablo 4" jobs, (out of 34 Diablo jobs in total). Lots of art and engineering jobs, but also quest/level design, testing etc.
