    Diablo/Hellfire

Did anybody else play Diablo/Hellfire or was I the only one that played it?
Ahh! Those were the good old days of bad graphics and cheesy quests.

Maybe you guys are too young to remember that far back.

If you compare to Diablo 2 the quests are still rather cheesy.

BTW, Hellfire is hard to find nowaday.

I had D1 and Hellfire too (but not anymore)

That was a great game, but I wasn't too great player :p

Sorcerer was always my favourite character, on low lvls he died to exploding barrel but later kicker ***. I always used Staff on Mana on him and Apocalypse was a coll spell if you found a room full of monsters :D

Too bad I don't remember too much about that game anymore, it was ~5-6 years ago when I played it last time

Actually I still got the game. Just ran across it cleaning up my old game Cd's. Glad to hear that some of you still remember it, at least I'm not that old.

Yep, used to play it...though I find it funny that someone says people are too old to remember Hellfire, come on, it's not even 5 years ago when that was the "latest Diablo".

Maybe the Ultima series is something that people have forgotten, or Betrayal at Krondor, original Elite, Captive, Civilization (original), Colonization, Boulder Dash (come on, I just had to mention that  ) and the others...not to mention the games even before those (meaning the Amiga 500 ages).

Some of us started with c-16 and vic20... :teeth:

I've got Hellfire (D1 too of course) installed but not D2. :uhhuh: The first one is better IMO. It's the game that got me hooked on darn PCs!

I would've though I was the only one here that remembered these text games. Heh...
I just about fell of my chair laughing.

I tried to find Some of the ultima series a couple of years back. It still runs if you can get a good emulator, but you need a slowdown emulator to make it playable

LMAO. I loved Diablo 1, though I only really got far with the warrior (lvl 47). Made another warrior for hellfire (lvl 48). Hellfire wasn't a very good expansion (LoD is much better). Ah, the good not so old days :)

I guess it hasn't been that long ago, but it sure seems that way.

I like Diablo as much as Diablo II. However, I hardly play it since my brother really likes Diablo II more.

I've been playing Hellfire more than D2 lately actually. I've moved my axe-wielding barbarian into the caves of nightmare, and he's my highest level character ever (D1&HF) at lvl 28-ish. The atmosphere, the suspense, and the fact that death may be lurking around any corner make it one of the best games ever.

    Man, that was a GAME.

I played it as much as D2.
My latest character was a 30 and something level Warrior with an greataxe.

I think Diablo1 has a better atmosphere then Diablo2, and the soundtrack in town -unbeatable.
