From what I know, once a certain number of Stones of Jordan are sold to Merchants, you'll get a message saying "Diablo Walks The Earth" and the Diablo Clone will appear. I'm almost sure he only appears in Hell Mode.

i know it has something to do with that message, but i never see the Diablo walks the earth part. Where does he appear at and how do u know? How do u find him?

he only appears in hell mode

the diablo walks the earth part is semi-randomized I think...if you see the "XXXX stones of jordan sold to merchants" you may have to wait in that game for a while for him to show up (i think?)

he shows up as the first super-unique monster you encounter (ie if you ran into eldritch first, d-clone would be there)

someone correct me if i'm wrong

I kept getting that 9k plus Stones sold message in my Normal game but never noticed anyone enter the game. Was kind of weird.

It happens that way. You have to search for the first super unique to find him.I got that message once and never came across the DC.

Dclone spawns on an IP every time a certain number of sojs have been sold. I believe he spawns for every 100-150 sojs sold. Basically, if people sell sojs to the merchant, after about 100-150 have been sold, he'll walk, and then it'll take another 100-150 to cause him to walk again. Whenever you see xxxx stones of jordan sold to merchant, someone sold one. Unless you know at which count he walked last time, the number of sojs sold doesn't tell you all that much, all it tells you is that someone is selling (if you're getting spammed by it, there's a good chance someone is popping him and he'll walk).

Thing is, he only walks on that IP. Bliz has a ton of servers, each have a different IP (only the last part is different), so there's like 150 servers.

If you're lucky enough to be in a hell game (he only spawns in hell) and see the Diablo walks the earth message, the next super unique you see will be Diablo. A super unique is any unique mob that is always there, such as pindleskin, shend, blood raven, etc. Rakanishu (the guy guarding the stones in stony field) is a very popular spot to go to if you see Diablo walks the earth, because he's easy to find, and whatever else is near him should be easy to kill. Be careful when you see Diablo walks the earth, you really don't want a super unique in a dangerous area to be replaced by Diablo clone.

Dclone himself is very hard to kill too, you almost need a character built to kill him. Unless you got a ton of patience, forget casters, he has 95% resistances to everything (maybe a fully synergized bliz sorc with high CM might work, but for the most part he sucks to fight as caster). You'll want a melee class (although he also has 50% PDR), a ton of CB (preferably 100%), max resists with light/fire absorb and max block to make the fight easy. You'll also want a prevent monster heal item on switch because his regen is INSANE (My sorc with slevel 32 FO and slevel 20 CM could not do more damage than he regenerated). He uses the same attacks as Diablo, which is why you want the resists and block, so his lightning or the fire snake attack don't kill you in one go, but unlike Diablo, he also constantly has armageddon on.

Not sure how dclone hunting is as necro, but I doubt it'll work. A psn or bone necro would most likely lack the damage needed, and a summoner will lost his summons to armageddon + his specials way too fast. Personally I prefer a frost zealot for dclone hunting, they're easy to level and zeal + cb rocks.

hammerdins work real nicely too

I have Call to Arms on switch so I charge him a couple times with it for Prevent Monster Heal, then switch back to Heart of the Oak and hammer him to death

Actually, a couple more things. A decently build Skelemancer can take him down nicely; takes longer than a specialized dclone killer, but since I can use my normal playchar for dclone as well, I don't care.

Also, he gets an additional attack compared to normal diablo --- he's casting Armageddon. And that does seem to do some damage as well (but not to me... I'm staying away from his spells :)).

PMH is not required for Skelemancers; the 500+ second poison from magi seems work very well. I get crushing blow from revivies; this makes dclone the only monster where I currently must use revives. A Steel Pillar for my merc is on my wishlist, though :)

Uber Diablo is much stronger than Diablo. He only appears in Hell Difficulty games on the battle.net realms, after a certain number of Stones of Jordan have been sold to the merchants in town. He can appear in any act or location in the game, and just before he appears, your screen will shake and you will see the words "Diablo walks the earth" appear on your screen.

Players who have encountered him recommend that you have full Lightning and Fire Resistance, Physical Damage Reduction, and Fire or Lightning Absorption.

Diablo may cast Bone Prison around you or your hirelings or your Town Portals. His Red Lightning Attack results in half physical, half lightning damage. He has much higher Life, Resistances, and more powerful attacks than the Diablo you will find in Act IV. He also has the ability to cast his own version of Armageddon.

Uber Diablo is the only monster that can drop the Annihilus Charm.
MonsterLevel 110
Experience 5539200
Hit Points 642700
Melee Attack 1 130-247
Attack Rating 1 14043
Melee Attack 2 143-299
Attack Rating 2 13064
Defense 2940
% to Block 50
Damage Resistance 50%
Magic Resistance 50%
Fire Resistance 95%
Cold Resistance 95%
Lightning Resistance 95%
Poison Resistance 95%

Uber Diablo uses these attacks: Fire Nova, Chaos Lightning, Cold Touch, Fire Wall, Firestorm, Bone Prison, Charge, Taunt, Armageddon.

Here's a guide on how to get the Diablo Clone in your game.

1. Make games untill you find the desired active IP

2. Pick a favorable spot to fight Diablo. This is limited by the nearest superunique, since the Clone spawns as this monster.

3. Camp out NEAR A LIVE SUPERUNIQUE MONSTER (because when world event occurs, Diablo Clone will spawn from the NEAREST Superunique monster... Griswold for Tristram, Rakanishu for the cold plains, and so on) and wait for SOJs sold to build up until the world event (this can take any amount of time, you will just have to have some patience and wait for it).

4. Assuming the Clone DID spawn where you wanted him to, go kill him. Else, search in the entire act, he must be somewhere.

5. Kick the Clone's ***.

It's pretty stupid to camp near the desired SU: once the SU has spawned, it will not respawn as DC. Better wait in town or go play somewhere else, but stay away from the SU (prefereably don't even enter the map) that you want to use.
