Diablo/Baal run Sorc

Just wonderin, what is the best hybrid to run these runs? My bliz sorc is very good and all, but my merc just takes too long to kill the dif monsters. With this build, i plan on using full tal set and lidless with milebregas orb and plain alibaba on switch. At the start of the game, i plan on tele'ing and killen meph, hephisto, diablo, and finally to baal.

My merc should be holy freeze, equiped with leviathen (hel'ed), eth bonehew (shael/shael or shael/amn), and crown of theives or Guilhelms. Any direction for my new sorc would be nice.

I was doing some baal runs with another sorc that was CB or CL (I can't remember). But they were hauling through the level with a lot of speed and killing stuff like crazy. If you don't mind having a character that's really mana intensive, I would probably opt for that build. The link is in the sorc build guide sticky. Personally, I use a Meteorb build because they're super strong and really versitile depending on your equipment. I can use mine for just about anything. However, if you're talking about just straight runs, CB or CL would do well IMO.

For Diabloruns BLizzard is just great. THough when you are alone, you will need a 2nd Element. BLizzballer by Myladies-Knight would be a good choice, also for doing Baalruns. See the Sorceress Guide Library for more information.

Any other Dual-Tree build looks viable too, though at Diaruns i seem to have a bad experience with Orb. Did alot of Diaruns in Hell with a Meteorb and was a bit disappointed since Orb cannot be placed at a specific palce int he field and then just forget about it.
TO me at least it seems important on Diaruns to be fat moving and flexible.
So i like to drop Meteor or Blizzard and just fire Fireball inbetween on those $%&§$ mages. Merc will die fast to IM, so i usually leave him at home!

Between for Diaruns all you need to do is open all seals and kill the 3 bosses, then all the rest of the monsters will die and you can kill Diablo at leisure. This makes the runs faster too ;)

i use my blizballer for diablo and baal runs and love it. Of course if you dont like using 2x synergy dependent skills or just plain like orb better, meteorb would work well too (you would probably get more fire damage as well)

Hmm, so blizard and fire ball, ok now how should i make out my skill points? Go strictly according to the guide? Any preferences?

mine is sort of like the guide but more points in cold mastery (which is the strength of all cold skills anyway).... I made my sorceress before the guide was written i think :p ... I made it before i read the guide at any rate.

As to items: i think the best possible setup for this sorc is full tals set. If you want to be tanky (you will need to be tanky in order to do Chaos runs as fast as possible) i recommend using stormshield with -req jewel (preferably with fire res as 2nd mod). Then use sandstorm treks for extra fhr/vit/str/poison resist, or waterwalks for the life/dex. Personally i use raven/dwarf because they are pretty much the ultimate defensive rings. If you want more damage/mana then use stones of jordan. Personally i put Rubies into my helm/armor (already have max resist and i dont really need MF :p) and end up with 1.2k life(1.7k with crappy +1 cta), max resists, cold/fire absorb, 60% blocking, and 35% damage reduced. Very tanky, which you will need for clearing some parts of the chaos sanc (if you teleport to each seal, there wont be any areas with no monsters, so there is no way to keep monsters at 'screens length' until you clear out a space to base you operations from. So you need to be able to take a lot of punishment. This is also true for soloing baal runs)

Hmm,so your recomending max block + vit? And how about my mana pool tohugh, don't have any spare soj's. Well, heres what i imagine is my build and such:

Max Glacial Spike, Blizzard, Meteor, Fireball
1 : static and tele and warmth and the 2 masteries
Rest of the points go into mastery (which one would be better?)

Gear: Full tals set, Sheild = Lidless / SS, boots = Sandstorm? , 2 rings = soj's if i trade off some stuff, and gloves = frostburn/that + 1 fire one. Now the thing is this, how am i supposed to get any mf? Have mf stuff on switch? Cuz my mf is gonna be somewhere around 310 and i was told 350 and i really don't want to have to change soj's into nagelrings and chance right in the middle of the run.

Merc will be holy freeze, using eth bonehew with im bettin dual shael, crown of theives, and Leviathin.

Any more help would be appreciated.

I would go max-blocking route with this build and use either Whistan's, upg. Visceratuant or Stormshield.

Don't worry at all about your mana pool. Get those 2xSoj, use Magefist (thats those +1 fire skill gauntlets) and combined with Tal Rasha's set you will have enough mana. Might need a potion now and then when you machinegun your Fireball, but thats about it.

300 MF is fine. If you really think you need those 350, just get a medium Gheeds and a few MF small charms. For bosskilling get Gull or Ali-Baba with Rhyme Shield or Splendor runeword on switch. Just don't teleport around with Chancies and Nagel's on, could be futile ;)

Boots: I would rather gamble for some rare boots with 2x or 3x resists, MF and FRW. Good unique choices are Sandstorm, Waterwalk, or also Natalyas boots.

I would land all other points equally into Fire and Cold Mastery, or just look where you think you are doing less damage when playing and add mastery points there.

you dont need more than 1 pt fire mastery.... split between cold mastery and firebolt.... or just cold mastery. I like just cold mastery :p but i am 60% cold and 40% fire in terms of what i use to kill stuff with.

Hum I never rush ppl w/ a sorc in hell... Too long to wait for merc to kill, though he'll never die unless Maidened...

If you're going for mf, I guess a sorc would be better but if you're looking for a fast hell rusher, would it be too much to ask for that you build a pvm cookie cutter build like a hammerdin?
