Re: DIABLO 3 why its taking soo long?
the fact is none of us are working for blizzard. all we could do is, speculating. It is harmless fun for some of our forum viewers, as long as we don't go extreme by start to call the company and send them threatening letters. anyhow I think there are certain degree of truth in OP, yet it may not be as evil as it sounds.
the strategy for project development will try at its best to lay out the game's release to ensure when they need a hit game they will have one ready near by. the development will always try to make the product as early as they could and then they will have more time to polish the product. there should be no plan to 'delay' the dev work, only to hold back the updates or news to keep players in the dark.
it is the marketing guys who will suggest to only release the new hit when the fever for the previous one is easing away. a famous actor/actress will keep shooting movies cos they are making the wage, but the cinemas will sure try to separate the opening date of two blockbusters maybe a week or two apart, agree?
the game is certainly still being made, and like all other projects in the world, things rarely get completed within schedule. sure stopping playing WOW suddenly will put the pressure on for Blizzard a bit (not so much but at least a bit), if people turned to play SC then it will just make no difference.
i am not a blizzard fan. I don't play WOW, never played star craft or war craft. the only game I love from blizzard is Diablo series. and I guess if OP is right then I am already doing my part.
