Its obvious that we all dedicate a decent amount of our life thinking about Diablo, so it becomes close to us, and the fear of diablo 3's failiure (if it will be, and no matter from which point) is inevitable.

I think Blizzard is keeping the story a secret because thats what they always do, and because it will be so good when people will actually play it... they want you to discover the plot as you are killing the monsters and leveling up... its the whole point of this thing...

i think its gona be the best game ever.

I think its possible that Diablo just hasnt been killed just yet. I mean, his soulstone wasnt on the Hellforge, or atleast I do not beleive it was, I think that was Baals and Mephisto's stones that you smashed, Maurius brought Baals and you brought and then smashed Mephistos along with it.

Of course, I like the idea of a rouge angel, cough cough Inarius cough cough, Imperius cough cough

Diablo's soulstone is destroyed in the "Terror's end" cutscene along with Mephisto's.

HOWEVER, we never actually saw what happened to Baal's soulstone did we?
