PoE has its own issues, just like every other game. Which game you enjoy despite its flaws is something that everyone should decide for themselves. Today good ARPGs are few and far between in my opinion, so we should be happy that we choices at all.

I haven\'t played the new Barb too much yet, but from streams it seems to me that they are still extremely powerful with high-end gear. 60%+ movement speed at will, very fast attack speed, tons of damage with potential perma-CC. The only thing that really changed is that recovery without Life Steal is more complex and it\'s easier to die if you aren\'t careful, but this isn\'t a Barb specific challenge.

The issue could be that not all of the classes feel as good without the new Legendaries. In my experience the WD and Wizard has a really strong base with lots of options. It\'s possible that the Barb is lacking in this regard, but I\'ll need to play them more to say for sure.

I don\'t really know what you mean by overall gameplay experience, but if part of that is the itemization then I think that judging that part of the game without seeing for yourself how the new stats work together is a mistake.

When you combine certain Legendaries the result is more powerful than the sum of its parts. Certain Legendaries can also completely change your stat priorities, so to fully utilize them you potentially have to change the majority of your gear. The situation is similar to D2 LoD, where you had cool new Runewords and Uniques, but I don\'t think anyone before launch foresaw builds like the Kodiak for the Assassin. If you don\'t know it Google it, it\'s one of the most complex builds for the game.

To see in more detail what I\'m talking about check out Ivan E\'s PTR impressions thread in the general discussion forum. There I wrote a lengthy post, saying why I think the new itemization is really cool and a huge improvement over the classic version of the game.

Of course if you weren\'t talking about itemization at all or if you already played the PTR a lot and what you wrote was based on your experience then feel free to completely disregard what I just wrote. :)

I can\'t click \"Reply\" to trocadero so I\'ll just click yovarga\'s \"Reply\" instead...

You can expect it so sell far less than regular D3 did, that\'s normal for expansions. Even something held in very high regard, like Lord of Destruction, only sold about a quarter of the amount that D2 did (1.2 million compared to 4.2 million). Then of course it scales; selling a quarter of 1 million is a lot easier than selling a quarter of a billion, even if those audiences exist potentially as defined by a base game. Selling about 3 million would make it a greater success in context than LoD. Time will tell.

RoS is cheaper than LoD was at launch when you actually take inflation into account rather than pretending money\'s value is fixed forever. LoD was also just a short act and a bunch of features that people take as completely standard now (like magic items being able to have sockets in) that could easily have been in a free patch. Remember when they also released a patch to make vanilla D2 harder so people were forced to upgrade, which was very controversial at the time? No, of course you don\'t. Selective memory and frenzied zealotry are wonderful things.

While Blizzard is fast tracking this pile of garbage to market I don\'t understand why people are buying it. D3V is garbage. Nothing in RoS changes this fact. Hell, Blizzard has not even delivered game features that were listed on D3V box. People should be filing law suits not handing them more money. What a world in which we live.

So much crying in this thread lol, as usual.

Been playing PTR and I really like the new class buffs. Only issues are the hideous drop rates and lack of a trading medium. Without a proper yet attractive trading medium, there is a lack of motivation to even play the game. Part of Diablo series has always been finding the best gear for your own character AND finding gear to sell away for the big bucks. With the time limit and BoA everything, that spark has been extinguished in an attempt to simplify the game.

Act 5 looks amazing but rifts don't seem really that attractive anymore. Adventurer mode with all that simple teleport and rinse/repeat killing the same bounty over and over again simply isn't gratifying. There needs to be more, something unique and adding more oomph then making everything way too balanced. I'm probably getting RoS but I hope they improve all these issues.

I wouldn\'t be surprised either to see Patch 2.0 released possibly much earlier than the AH shutdown. With the limitations we have on Legendary trading and the new drop system having the AH in the game wouldn\'t matter much.

Pretty much my #1 request form the expansion, tons more space to hoard all the loot.

Where\'s Tenshi when you need him? :D

well, I guess it\'s because, like you said, \"you haven\'t played the new barb too much\" but, what they\'ve done is remove the whirl wind rune that let\'s one whirl at whatever your current run/walk speed is. So, barbs in D3V are really dynamic and move quickly through packs. Now, they don\'t. It\'s such a major change ... people will just stop play the barb. It feels broken to me and it\'s frustrating to try to whirl now instead of fun. I keep trying to get the barbarian where I want him on the screen and after about 20 minutes of play my wrist starts to ache ... I will probably eventually adjust to this this sluggish version of the barb ... but, the change is \'unfun\'

I\'ve been playing around with the Furious Charge rune that allows you to reset the skill\'s cooldown if you hit 5+ enemies. I really liked it even during the Whirlwind days. It\'s another way to make a quick paced Barb that relies partly on movement to survive. I\'ll be giving this build a more serious trial in RoS I think.

I totally agree with you. According to an article by forbes blizzard were actually thinking about selling it for 30 dollars and it was even considered expensive then for what you get.I won´t be buying it from day 1. Maybe if it gets on sale, but I refuse to pay 40€, because what they are doing isn´t morally justifiable, especially when they gave us a beta version of the game with hundreds of errors to begin with.

I will speak with my wallet and buy a fun looking expansion for a game I continue to have fun playing.
