diablo 2 2nd character

Ok here's the story, I have a level 24-25 trapsin as my first character, I play 2 player tcp/ip with my brother's strafazon. That's all good and fun, but when he isn't on I need another character to play, but everytime I start one I get bored out of my mind. Here's what i've attemepted for about 10 minutes or so.

Barb (not really any specific tree he was only level 8)
Fishymancer
Cold sorc.
Light sorc.
Wolf druid (got to 30 then moved to NM and got bored)

And that's pretty much it.
I have played this game on and off for the past 4 years or so, my old charas were a 65-70 barb I think, and a 30-40 light sorc.

You aren't really giving those other characters a chance. Ten minutes? That will get you to the Cold Plains, at which point you aren't really using any decent skills that would make the characters fun yet anyway. Normally you need to get at least through Act I, if not all the way to Act III (level 30) before you can really decide if a character is going to be "fun" or not.

But to be fair, let's assume you can figure it out in ten minutes. What do you consider fun to begin with? Complete destruction of your enemies with minimal effort? A difficult challenge? Melee vs caster?

Re: diablo 2 2nd character

Heh... the first 29 levels of diablo ARE a bore. The first half of the game is just nonstop annoyance for me since most of my characters have builds determined by the lv30 skills.

Though you got bored with a fishymancer? Well I can't blame you. It took me forever to come up with the patience to start a good summoner. Now I finally have one and I love it :)

Re: diablo 2 2nd character

I usually do prefer a caster, or someone who uses elemental attacks, because back in the day when I played my barb I got stuck on those p immunes, and that wasted so much of my time...

And sure, whatever guide you guys suggest to me I will try for at least a full normal game.
