    Dexterity and blocking.

I've heard that while playing classic d2, adding stats to dexterity does not improve your blocking. Is this true?

I don't normaly add dexterity to any of my charactors, Bowazons are the only charactor I give dexterity to.

It only helps blocking in expansion. I guess Blizzard noticed that Dexterity is kinda useless and fixed it up a bit.

During 1.08 classic, on your char screen, dex did indeed show up as adding to blocking, but it was dropped in classic in 1.09, which came out around Oct.1st 2001. Months before this change was made, there was enormous criticism on this website, especially over at the pally forum, of the formula, which now applies only to LoD.

Roughly, you need dex in LoD to keep pace with your character level. Removing this formula was one of the few things done right to classic, but not before I had put 130 points into dex for my pally, where 90-110 should have been sufficient.
