Dex or Vit?

My question is... is it better for a wind druid to have about 200 dex for max block (3.8k life)or to put all those points into Vit so i can have 5.5k+ life?
[both with CTA bo]

for PvP wise?

It's a preference. In my opinion.. every char should have max block or close to it.. My summon necro has perfect block rating and manages 1.7k life with the cta. But than again, I barely get touched. hehe

id hav to say i prefer VIT

my dru has 6.3k life [100% vit]

however, barbs do provide a challenge to beat....it can be done however with practice

i think of it this way; build any char to beat THE MAJORITY

with max life, u can beat most casters much easier, and casters make up the majority of dueling usually

with little life, u will probably be beaten by the common nec or sorc

i have max block but i can still attain 3 k life(wind druid), i would say max block definitly, without max block you dont have a chance against good barbs, the only real challenge i meet is the FB sorc who i almost always loose to

i just took off all my gear... i have 215 vit with only ~680 life : ( and max block...

if i put on all my gear + charms i have about 1200 and wiht bo and oak i have about 3400... [4bo cta]

Unfortunately, you cannot block Smite- its unblokable

First, I have now played both all vita build and max block. Until ladder season 2 I never made an all vita windy since I have always been a fan of block. First off forget about the smiter issue someone mentioned. Block will not help you yet PDR gear will. As for barbs a vita build is a good build against barbs if you can minion stack well and teleport and play like a caster. If not you are dead without block. A smart barb also will have a high lvl leap to seperate your minion stacking and IMO if they do block or no block a good WW barb will kill you. Since I have played both I now favor my vita build more since I seem to run into more casters then non caster builds and the extra health/vita is a good thing. You can't have everything in a build yet if you go all vita and play like a caster you can do well against all chr's (except maybe really great ww sins/trappers and of coarse the barb who uses leap to seperate your minion stack.

Had to get my two cents in on this issue since I have played both. As for the diff in life from a blocking build using SS and a vita build the average life of a block windy will be around 4500, at least that is what mine had maybe a little more. I have no clue how some are getting 6K life with 99/99 breakpoints and 50% PDR. I have tried and have yet to get close yet if I could get it I would say go block maybe but I can only get around 4500 where my vita gets around 6500 which against casters is a huge amount.

SS for melee chr's and other windy's (yet there has been some discussion about not needing if casting at 163% yet I have not tested it and 50% PDR is a lot of help on taking melee damage or nado damage) and spirit for casters, also you can get 163% FCR with spirit pretty easy on ladder for caster duels. If not on ladder SS for melee and windy's and Sanctuary for casters.

Definately SS if you go total Vit. SS atleast gives you some chance to block.. If your a pvp windy druid do not get in the face of a barb.. he will chew you apart. If you had max block rate.. that would be a diff story.. but since you don't just hang back from them.
