Delirium RuneWord?

I am Just Curious as to if the Delirium Runeword is even worth making and what char would it be best in?

I am only asking b/c i have a 3 Soc Bone Visage (119 Def) just calling to me and i have a Ist that i just traded for and Delirium is the only runeword that i can make *wishes he could make a Hoto*

I'm using Delirium on a mercenary and it's great. The runeword is better on non-Necromancer builds because of the curses it will generate (needing the necro to override them regularly), but it's still very, very good. When your merc turns into a Stygian doll his attacks become extremely powerful and fast.

I thought about making delerium but decided against it. Just curious:

What are the benefits of delerium? To me, it seems like a weak shako.

Its benefits are simple, just read the runeword. If you consider that 'weaker', by all means go ahead with the Harlequin Crest.

ok so if i make it and decide later on that i dont really like it will i be able to sell it or is it one of those items that i will have to repeatedly put in my FT list untill i find the right person?

Well... lets see. It has the ability to stun monsters, convert them to your side, make them fight each other, and/or make them run away in terror. It also offers to increase your merc's killing power by turning him into a Bone Fetish. It also has +2 to skills, increasing either your or your merc's attacks/auras, as well as some mf and goldfind. To top it off, it offers a nice defense boost and +10 to Vitality.

The only two useless mods on it for your merc, are the +10 to Vitality and the Attract Charges.

For a teleporting, non-melee caster, this helm would be complete crap compared to a Shako. Otherwise, I can't think of any reason why you would use a Shako over this, if you could afford both.


Suijin, while it varies with the realm you play on, I'd say that not too many people would skip over a Delirium Bone Visage.

I found a Superior Diadem (3 soc) in the Pits and made a Delirium out of it, it looks awesome on my zon, nice ponytail.

These days Zons have very little going for them Synergies wise but a Delirium helm makes killing lots of monsters a breeze. The % chance to cast a lvl XX "Confuse" makes a zons life a lot easier. Even utilizing Strafe you cast "Confuse" over and over, and while the monsters turn and gank each other you move to the best position and spam Multishot. They die like flies and they rarely if ever attack you. Plus your merc and valk are busy in the killing spree as well and all the while you recast "Confuse" and spam Multi.
You dont have to run from burning archers, they dont target you, they shoot each other!

Even big threats like undead stygian dolls are busy killing each other and dont have the chance to explode on you. Since making an Enigma Archon, BotD Hydra and Delirium i rarely die, once or twice from mega (4k ping) lag and I always play aggressively even in 8 person games.

Lastly: when if ever i get morphed into a Stygian Doll I cast a tp and go back to town to stock up or dump loot, even with a 5k headbutt i prefer a bow attack=)

Because the chance of it happening is very, very small.

Just a tip: If you get morphed into Fetish form, and you want to unmorph quickly, just waypoint to a different act and come back.
