Decked-Out PvM Fire Druid?

So, I am having shitloads of trouble deciding what Fire Skills to max for my PvM Fire Druid. Right now, I have Fissue and Firestorm maxed because I was originally planning on using Fissure and Dire Wolves, but the Fissure won't kill bosses alone, so I was going to max Firestorm and it's synergies too...which puts me at 80 in the Ele tree. Then, why not Armageddon? If I already maxed all the synergies...

You see where I am going with this? It's so damn hard to decide! I read Garbad's guide through and through, but I still can't.

I also cant decide if I should play the more reserved route like letting my Wolves and Merc take hits while I sit back and cast or playing more in your face like PvP Windies and using Firestorm with Armageddon.

Right now, the gear I have is...

Ravenlore
Mara
Hoto
Enigma BP
Sanc (don't have, but will get)
Mage
SoJs
Arachnids
Waterwalks

Any experiences and/or inputs are welcome! Thanks! :)

And the only thing making me hesitate from maxing everything but Armageddon is that my Volcano will be my only unsynergized skill... *sigh* Why does there have to be 5 fire skills?

Well, is it possible to play a close-quarters fire druid with Geddon, Firestorm, etc without using Stormshield? It sounds unlikely...

Yeah, that's what I decided to do...

20 Firestorm
20 Boulder
20 Fissure
20 Volcano

1 Oak
1 Dire Wolves

Rest into Oak

If you want him to be a little more effective another thing you can do is use a lower res wand or dagger on the switch I. I have once with lvl 2 charges and it helps.

I dunno...I'm finding this build pretty uninteresting...Maybe I have too much ADD for such a methodic build...

You can always add pelt with armageddon for the full fire works without investing skill points in the wind side of the tree.

Does "methotic build" mean allocating skill points as you go unlike most characters that ppl play that are required to save points till lvl 24 or 30? Yes it is a single tree character, but it is not a single skill char. Firestorm/volcano for bosses, fissure for packs, volcano for pack bosses, mb for narrow areas and for spreading out a pack. It is not like a blizz sorc, so boring for pvm.

By methodic, I mean that it has the killing speed of a Summon Necro on Opiates. That, and my summons and merc really don't tank well at all. I find myself running and hiding more often that I am actually killing and advancing.

I dunno, maybe it wasn't such a smart build...
