    Decisions, Decisions....

    I'm coming up on the point where I need to choose my main helper spells on my Summoner and a merc. I made this char specificly for hell difficulty so please consider that when you give me advice.

    I have max skelles and mastery, as well as 10 revives, and an Iron Golem

    What do you think would be more effective...

    Thorns merc with Iron Maiden spell

    OR

    Might merc with Amp

    My last summoner went with might/amp but killed fairly slowly in hell, do you think Thorns and Maiden would make them kill any faster?

    might/amp..... no question...... the monsters is hell just don't do enough damage compared to their HP to kill themselves very quickly at all

    That's the thing though, Skelles do low damage too. I think Hell creatures do more damage than skelles dont they?

    yeah mine too..... i mean sure they only do like 400 dam but theres 13 of them..... adds up to a lot

    edit: ok the listed dam is 400 not counting to bonus from my might merc and from amp...... i don't feel like calculating it right now..... its a 32/32 RS/SM

    hey man don't feel bad i got by in hell up until about act 3 with a 30/28 ....... not sure what items i had to give me those stats

    It's not about items when you think about it...I only got 12 Skeletons and 11 Mages....and though i can have a ton of Revives(I only use them for lagging when I get the lame people complaining) and do just fine with complete Trang's and AoKL(just got to pay attention on getting hit with that though)

    With a Might merc...your Skeletons become some really good attack dawgs...and Mages are there to take care of the Gloams(and the relatives in acts 3-5...forgot names...but everyone hates them) and to take care of PI's. And they make a great 2nd wave of attack anyway.
