Just found this lvl 17 claw

+1 traps
20 ias
50%ed
2 to max dmg
2 open sockets

good or trash?

spirit in a long sword is same base speed so you're only getting 20 ias and losing all the great spirit mods... that is if you mean for lvl 30... at lvl 18 those are pretty hot except they'd be better as blade talons... actually scratch that the 20 ias makes up for them being a bit slower and actually makes them faster...screw it they're great now that i think about it.

now the question is where do you find another one?

I've never seen a level 18 lld trapsin, but I'm almost inspired to make one. This claw would actually be perfect for a pure trapper in blade talons (best base speed rather than second best), the mods probably are perfect. I wouldn't like to have to search for the rare jewels those sockets deserve though. With +4 skills I think you're looking at, depending on which one you want as your main, about 80 wake damage, approx the same fireblast damage as an 18 sorc's fireball, a ~1-90 12 spikes web or 6 bolts 1-90 charged bolt sentry.

Yeah i figured spirit was better if i was to go for level 30, but this is lvl 18, and can also be used with kicks as secondary, while spritit suffers from the MD bug.

a shame it didnt have any +wof though..

the funny thing is, someone picked them up and dropped them right after ID'ing them..

To get any automods at all you'd need a level req of about 27-30 as it'd need to be an exceptional claw (fasica or later afaik which is req27).

I'm pretty sure the earliest you can get staff mods is a hand scythe.

Ok, alright, either way even if it had +3 wof, that wouldnt offset the slowness of a handscythe..

I had a lvl 18 replen-fireblaster a while back (when Smite Muffin was still around to pub with). I'll have to dive through the mules to check the gear setup I had and post that at some point. I want to say I just used +1 traps blade talons. That claw you have there would have been very nice. She also did surprisingly well, having had enough replen to outlast and wear down most everything save some zealots and one kicker that used a Malice brandistock. :wink:

i found a +1 traps, fools, 30% IAS + miscellaneous mods rare claw -_-

used it, replaced it with a +2 skills/fools claw ... no IAS though
